New Study Released By McKinsey

See it HERE.

Of course, the findings encourage that legislation be pushed forward as a "green" initiative. The investment they're calling for is likely going to be more expensive than what they're actually projecting.

Whether businesses are seeking to reduce their uneccessary expenses, "be green", or simply comply with future legislation; it makes sense to make Furnace-MateTM part of your solution.

A government created market is always a bloated one, go with the lean, creative solution of a competetive, freer market, and save money that can be reinvested in growing your business!

Making Intelligent, Cost-Saving Decisions

How many times a day do you see a headline appear on your computer screen about saving money? Every day, I would assume, if you happen to be using Yahoo or MSN. I am constantly amazed by frequent recommendations that will take years before there's a return (if at all).

I was looking for more cost-saving solutions for business and happened upon this article. One of the suggestions made my jaw drop: Insert skylights in your business! There may be a business somewhere that could benefit quickly from this idea, but I'm hard-pressed to find one. I wonder, though, how much "inserting" a skylight costs? After all, saying "insert" sounds simple...but it's not really a small cosmetic addition to anyone's facilities. It requires a contractor, cutting out "minor" things such as ceilings, roof, mending the new hole with drywall, primering then repainting...don't forget to seal up the roof where you just "inserted" a skylight.

Another item not accounted for is how your ability to be productive will be hampered if work space is unuseable during the installation...who knows how much that actually will cost you? If you saved $30 a month on this "solution", how many years would it take to realize a return?

Many times we forget what the real profit destroying costs are and needlessly throw large sums of money at small problems.

The article did make a decent suggestion: use motion sensors that activate lights when someone walks into a room. That's a good idea. Another one would be using reflective colors on your walls to even out lighting. You may not need more lighting. In fact, you may be able to get away with less if you use colors that will spread your lighting further.

Be aware of what's really costing you money, things such as excessively running your furnaces and air conditioning.

Furnace-MateTM will not require you to make structural changes to your facilities...your roof and ceilings are safe with us! Oh yeah, and if you want to integrate the functioning of your furnaces with sensors triggered when someone walks into a room, we can do that, too!
